Get Involved

Your SU family misses you!

Whether you graduated last year or 50 years ago, you’re forever Orange! Here are some of the ways you can stay involved with other alumni and your SU family:

  • Come back to campus.
There’s always something happening on campus, including a whole range of sporting events, lectures, and of course, Orange Central—the combination homecoming and reunion celebration held every fall. Visit alumni.syr.edu to keep up with the latest happenings!
  • Attend local events.
The SU Alumni Club of Northern California is one of the University’s most active alumni clubs, sponsoring faculty speakers, career networking events, game-watching activities, theatrical and artistic events, and many other activities. Find out about the latest events.
  • Be a mentor.
Are you willing to give career advice to students and fellow alumni? Join ’CuseConnect, a LinkedIn group managed by Syracuse University Career Services. Learn more.
  • Build your personal contacts.
New to the Bay Area? Looking to establish some contacts?  Need some career advice? Join the ’CuseConnect to link up with alumni who can help. Want to know about other career-boosting resources? Check out SU’s Center for Career Services site.
  • Join our community of experts.
SU alumni and friends can provide today’s students with invaluable support in the form of expertise and real-world experiences. Many alumni return to campus as guest lecturers, serve on advisory boards, provide career advice at SUccess in the City events, host an immersion program in the Bay Area, or offer internship or employment opportunities.
  • Recruit new students.
We’re looking for passionate Orange supporters willing to volunteer their time and talents to help represent the University in Northern California.  Interested volunteers will receive a brief training and work with University admissions personnel to answer applicant questions, interview applying students, and connect with counselors and students at college fairs.
If you would like to have a great impact on growing the Orange presence here in the Bay Area, while connecting with fellow alums and supporters, please contact regional council member Brian Kreischer for more information.

As you can see, there are myriad ways to stay connected and involved. Interested? Contact us!
